In August, Åland transforms into a flowing source of inspiration for music lovers. The cultural association Katrina presents a four-day chamber music festival with around ten events at various venues.
This year’s theme, TOTAL FESTIVAL, is inspired by the concept of totalitarianism and the philosopher Hannah Arendt. Everything is woven together through art, music and discussions about freedom and oppression.
The festival’s artistic director, Cecilia Zilliacus, is truly outstanding. With her network of professional musicians, she has created a festival programme that includes concerts, masterclasses and free events. Tip: a 3-concert pass for €50 gives you a TOTAL experience!
